It’s time. For too long, the timeshare industry and their trade group partner ARDA, have knowingly misled the people who own or are considering owning a timeshare. It’s time to show you what they do and how they do it. And we’ll do it by using documents that are publicly available. Let’s start with this one. Michelle Jabeur worked for Diamond Resorts. When she was told by Diamond staff to lie to a prospective client … she protested. When she was assigned to “upgrade” client “AB,” she said senior Diamond staff “…wanted her to lie to AB and try to sell them a “club” membership based on the untrue claim that they had no “points” when in fact they had points left remaining in their account.” Sound familiar? It gets worse. Another client “LM,” “…wrote a letter to Diamond corporate, complaining of the false sale and asking that Diamond’s original promises be honored.” When Michelle told her supervisor about it, she was told “…to throw it out instead of forwarding it to someone within Diamond management who could do something about it.” When she refused, her supervisor “…became hostile with Ms. Jabeur, saying she was incapable of doing her job, throwing his hands in the air, and storming off in front of her colleagues.” And then this…Heart failure. Michelle met with another client who “…complained that she was suffering from heart failure, awaiting a heart transplant, and that she had been instructed by her physicians not to travel more than four hours from the hospital where she was to receive a transplant in North Carolina.” That woman was then told “…that it would be “detrimental” to the client’s membership if the client did not attend the roadshow event in Virginia Beach.” When Michelle complained about this “…dangerous disregard for a client’s health and life” … her supervisor told her “…the information was not relevant to closing a sale.” Michelle went to the bathroom “…and cried.” Her supervisor? “…went to sell more lies to Diamond’s clients because Ms. Jabeur would not.” There’s more…And yes, it gets worse. We’ll save that for later. Stand by… Got a story about bad timeshare sales tactics? Share them with us: info@timesharefacts.com |
