It’s paid for and the maintenance is not unfair. HOWEVER, we got invited to a “membership update” to give us info about how our timeshare would be eliminating the maintenance fees. Total bait and switch. They were just trying to sell us another timeshare, but they DID offer us a ‘vacation club membership’, which would allegedly give us discounts on air fare, cruises, resorts, etc. So we fell for it. THEN we start getting billed for TIMESHARE MAINTENANCE FEES. They did not get the ‘fine print’ to us until the date of recession had past. What they TOLD us was a vacation discount membership was just another timeshare. Do yourself a favor: If the name of the company has Diamond, Emerald, or Sapphire in it, RUN!!!” “Your story sounds EXACTLY like my own experience having dealt with a Wyndham salesman in Poconos who approached me in the exact same manner regarding upgrade opportunities, after I had already paid in full for my timeshare 25 years ago. After being SCAMMED into signing for an “upgrade” and later arriving home reading over the documents I realized the CON ARTIST had done just that, CONNED me into something I later regretted. I called him within the 3 day rescission period to no avail. Of course he never returned my calls. To make a long story short, I had to pay THOUSANDS of dollars and after MANY phone calls, to eventually get Wyndham to rescind my contract…! This is a BOGUS self serving organization that ONLY cares about their any- way possible -profits, and NOT about caring a damn about the innocent public who trust and fall for their scheming LIES EVERY DAY!!! THEY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS!!! LIARS!! EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM!!
