We’ve shared from you, the many tricks used to lure people into a timeshare presentation.

Timeshare sales reps know them all…

… but once you are captured inside…it’s another level of psychological warfare.

Customers and owners alike are desperate to escape…

“I purchased a timeshare with Diamond Resort two years ago and it was the worst mistake in my life. The woman working with us was told repeatedly we were not interested. She kept insisting we speak to her manger and each time (5 times to be exact) we were told a lesser price. We then told her “if this is the only way were are going to be getting a uber back to our hotel we would purchase it and cancel it right way”. She informed us that it would be an easy process.” In order to cancel we just needed to call Diamond’s customer service line”. I called several times when I returned home from our vacation 3 days later. I left voice mail after voicemail and didn’t receive a call back until 8 days later.  Then was told I was unable to cancel because I had to send a certified letter in the mail within 5 days in order to cancel it. I refused to pay it as I never wanted the timeshare to begin with, and it has been very detrimental to my creditI had never made one late payment and had wonderful credit until this nightmare. I now cannot even purchase a home for me and my children because of Diamond and their false directive and misrepresentation. We expressed to both the timeshare agent as well as the manager that we were not able to afford it and they still continued to push it on us. We felt trapped.  – Tiffany

Wyndham misrepresented and lies. Told things that turn out to be lies. Real pushy sales process. Document signing real rushed. Very slow to return calls if any at all.” – Steve

“A few years back my wife and I took a summer vacation trip to Myrtle Beach SC. We allowed ourselves to go to a supposedly 90 minute presentation which right away ended up being over 4 hours.  This was the most horrific worst day of signing paperwork in my lifetime. I realize they only tell lies and has tricks like it’s trick or treat and you get the trick not the trick. Always know that they are going to show you a brand new unit that no one has ever stayed in. Always know if nobody has ever lived there is always going to look very nice. They promised us some points and which we was not able to take a trip and we ask them can they carry the points over to the next year while we was actually still paying maintenance fees, I had taken out a loan to help pay on this timeshare. The pandemic hit and I called them to see if we could hold on to our points and take a trip later they wouldn’t give me any information on the phone because it said that I owed a payment, mind you I had already been paying maintenance fees and they had already gotten over $15,000 all we had is a cheap $3 bottle of wine from them !!!! –  Marvin

“Just sharing our info about our Diamond Timeshare…  we are Platinum with Diamond/now Hilton, and have used our points all over the US… Except…. we have been roped-into a couple “Owner Updates” that sound very benign, and they always give you great incentives for attending like gift cards, free dinners, etc.  Besides possibly a few new features on the website, or other quick upgrades to your membership… the entire meeting was trying to sell up more points.  The last one we attended went from the promised “only 90 minutes” to almost 3 hours, and they basically held our drivers licenses and credit card hostage, until we  threatened to call the police… can you even imagine?!?! – Susan and Eddie

It’s no wonder these timeshare companies end up on the top of the 10 Worst Timeshare Companies list!!

…and that there are thousands upon thousands of complaints made against them with the Attorney General of Florida…

…like these against Diamond Resorts and Wyndham Resorts and Westgate

Our job is making sure people understand what’s really happening.  Help us shine a light on these unscrupulous timeshare tactics.
