For our more recent readers, we bring you back to Michelle Jabeur and Diamond Resorts timeshare.

In our last email, we told you about how Michelle was asked to “lie” to her clients.

She refused.

When she was again told to “…engage in fraudulent sales tactics”…she again refused.

This time her supervisor “…violently yelled at her to “Get the f*%! out of the office.”

She wrote to Diamond Human Resources.

“In that letter she complained about being required to misrepresent facts and to provide clients with false information in order to close deals. In that letter, she complained about being heckled and yelled at by her superiors for struggling to follow Mr. Landin and Mr. Chandler’s false tactics.”

Required.

Michelle Jabeur said she was required to provide false information.

And get this….In the document, Ms. Jabeur said a senior Diamond staff member “…admitted to some knowledge of fraudulent tactics.”

Admitted to knowing they are committing fraud.

What did Diamond HR do?

Put her on leave … pending an investigation.

That investigation?

Ha. It found her “…complaint was uncorroborated and unsubstantiated.”

Surprised?

We’re not.

And yet, it still feels shocking that any company could operate this way.

This was the first of many documents we have highlighted that points out in stark terms just what the timeshare industry will do to hide their terrible behavior.

We’re Timeshare Facts.

Our goal is to shine a light on the unethical practices of the timeshare industry.

The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) represents timeshare companies in Washington, DC.

Jason Gamel is the President and CEO of ARDA.  He may have some good advice about what the timeshare industry suggests for owners who have fallen on hard times.

Let’s email him at jgamel@arda.org.

Or… here is a list ARDA published of its VIPs across all its member companies. Maybe you can find your timeshare company executive and ask their advice too!
