| Our email about the 2,170 pages of complaints against Diamond Resorts on file with the Florida Attorney General’s Office prompted LG to send us this story. We feel for her. Here’s her story as sent to us: “We have been struggling with this company for almost two years. Starting in November 2020, we tried to get out of it because of the constant pressure to “upgrade”, attend an “updated benefits” meeting, etc.” “They lie, lie, lie.” We have NEVER been able to use any of the benefits – not once, in over three years. The only time we could use any facility was when they arranged the trip for us. When we checked in, we were told we could attend a 30 minute updated benefits meeting as a current owner and receive free tickets to a show.” “They “guaranteed” it would be 30 minutes. We told them no because of previous experiences, and that we had family from out of town visiting, and we didn’t have the time. They stated that it was “30 minutes guaranteed” and we would get the show tickets and a $100 Visa card. We said if they can GUARANTEE that it was not the normal sales meeting since we were already owners, and it was only an update, and it was only 30 minutes, we would go.” “They LIED!” “The first 30 minutes was the rep “getting to know us”. We asked how much longer because we had family waiting. Another 30 minutes went by, with the sales pitch to buy at THEIR resort. LIE! Then we asked again about leaving. Another 30 minutes went by showing us the resort we were staying at, which we had no interest in buying into, so now we are an hour and a half, and we got up to leave. As we headed out, we were stopped at the door, seriously, because we needed our gift card and show tickets. That was another 30 minutes.” We were with them TWO HOURS!! They constantly lie, pressure you to sign or switch to their resort, “oh but just wait. We can do this for you, etc.” We have been trying to get out of it ever since. “DO NOT BUY ANY TIME SHARE FROM THIS COMPANY!! They are short of being mobsters.” Tell us your timeshare horror story.
